Comments on games.com

When we relaunched games.com back in October we were entering a brand new frontier.  Games.com was for the first time ever going to have live comments on the games pages.  I was excited about it and God knows it was a long time coming for the Games.com site.
Now that we've had comments for over a month there are things that I have learned.
1. You have to and I mean HAVE TO; moderate public posts.  People will post just about ANYTHING, any time.
2.  People won't talk about what you want them to.  People form communities around our games but that doesn't mean they want to talk about them.  Our game players want to talk about anything but the games they are playing.
3.  You'd better damn well have your games working,  or people will let you know they aren't working IN PUBLIC.

Some of these things we were not entirely aware of so we had to start from scratch. Thankfully we now can moderate the comments section and slowly but surely we're getting the peoples thoughts under control.

What would you do if you were in our shoes?  Just let people post whatever they want?  Moderate with an Iron fist?  Maybe you'd just take the boards down entirely.  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I USE TO LIVE ON GAMES.COM THAT UNTIL MONOPOLY WAS TAKEN
THERE USE TO BE A FREE MONOPOLY GAME THAT WAS LOTS OF FUN BUT NOW I ONLY SEE THE MONOPOLY HERE AND NOW AND THAT MONOPOLY IS NOT FREE. I STILL CHECK GAMES.COM OUT BUT I USE TO BE SO MUCH FUN WITHOUT THE DOWNLOADS FOR EVERY GAME
