Layoffs and what it means to AOL games players

As many of you know there was a layoff of 20% of the AOL staff world wide.  The games group was not unscathed.  We lost two very, very cool people who did a great job over the years.  Our thoughts go out to those who have to find work.

What is means to you all?  Well it means that we have some things that need to shake out.  Some of the people who we relied on with regards to support are gone.

Many of us will have to re-establish contacts for services across the AOL network.  Its going to take some time.  Unfortunately,  that may mean some slow down on changes and my availability on the message boards.

I'll be sure to keep you all informed as to the goings on here.

They might.  There were some VERY, VERY smart people let go.  It's the nature of business and the nature of change.  As the line in Shawshank Redemption goes "It's time to get busy living or get busy dying"  It's in AOL's hands to get busy LIVING!
