I said this was in the looking glass and here it is! We're launching two video poker machines that are integrated with Slots Lounge. They are both 5-card poker games and should be fairly easy to play.
Some of you may be asking what is a beta test? Well here is the OFFICIAL definition:
A beta version is the first version released outside the organization or community that develops the software, for the purpose of evaluation or real-world. The process of delivering a beta version to the users is called beta release. Beta level software generally includes all features, but may also include known issues and bugs of a less serious variety.
What does that mean to you folks? Well it means that the games are not in their final version and may have bugs. We'll be sure to let everyone know what the bugs are.
What we need from you fine folks:
You need to let us know what you think of the game?
What you think can be done to make the game better?
Let us know what issues you have with the game?
Anything you can think of that we should know!
When you post an issue, please be sure to include:
- Which game you are playing.
- Approximately the time your are playing
- What browser you are using (AOL or Internet Explorer)
- What operating system you have (Windows XP, Vista)

I was just playing dueces wild around 7:30 pm on AOL. I use Windows XP. I enjoyed this game, however, would like to see you add more video poker games such as, joker poker, double joker poker, and many other of the video poker games you find at the casinos. Keep the games coming! By the way, I also like the slots lounge that you recently added.
Just like the slots lounge I cannot get into Video Poker. I have the correct system and all the requirements, but I still cannot play any of this. The screen always says welcome to the slot lounge and tells me how much money I have and than nothing happens.
I agree. I'd love to have tons more machines! But we're taking baby steps! We're got tons more to do for the year and we're a bit behind schedule. I will be sure to bring up the idea of more machines in our weekly meetings. Thanks for the positive comments!
I ususally play the Slots Lounge and enjoy them. Sometimes I play for hours, however, I wish there were more to choose from.
I tried Video Poker last night. I couldn't win at all on the Deuces Poker and that is my favorite, so I moved to Jacks or Better. Had a little more sucess, but not much.
Why are the payouts for Deuces so much less than for Jacks or Better?
Also I hated the animation on the Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces. They were distracting.
I agree with the previous person about more choices.

Got as far as choose a machine , in video poker, and that was it. Nothing happened after I choose a machine.
Game over "banner" starts before your draw is complete. Sort of takes te fun out of it when you know you've lost before all of your draw cards are shown...
I enjoyed the deuces wild game. It does seem to overload the java though. after a while it froze up on me. I went to the java and dumped the garbage and it started playing again. Meby just lucky, but I accumulated 2,000 points not going past the $ 5.00 level. Might try the $25.00 level next time. This game seriously needs a control to switch betting levels.
I found the constantly spining cards with the sound they make very annoying. Hmm, just played it again. It is definately the sounds that annoy me. Very unrealistic. Also, if you pause in your play, there is a sound that I think may be trying to simulate card shuffling but it just sounds awful. Even the sound when you click on a card is so much higher than all the other sounds; it stands out. None of it sounds realistic or even pleasant to listen to. At least the slots sound like a vegas machine somewhat.
see my previous post below. just saw that the annoying shuffling sound was the face cards banners opening and closing. Make it stop, please make it stop!
I was unable to see the cash out buttons, because there was a Campbell soup ad across the buttons, went up and down and there was no way to get rid of the ad.
Hopefully, I still have my credits.
I was playing Deuces Wild around 11 P EDT, and I kept getting two of the game screens that overlapped. Sometimes, I could click on the deal or draw button, and sometimes not. If I clicked on the buttons for the top screen, the focus would drop down to the lower (original) screen. Then all background windows (other ones open) would disappear and the background was white. My task bar disappeared as well. Next, I get booted from AOL, and get the restart, etc buttons.
I wondered if I would lose my accumulated credits when I got booted, since I did not get to cash out. I never returned to the same game and had to start anew. There was money in my wallet, but not sure if my credits were added or not. When I chose to leave the game, I was able to cash out. It was hard to get to the cash out button, until someone told me the 3 scroll buttons were really 4. Now I know the 3 dots between the 2nd and 3rd button takes you to all the buttons. It had been zipping past them as I used the other 3 scroll buttons.
When AOL restarted, part of the orange graphics from the Video Poker Game were embedded in my taskbar, which is at the top of my screen.

On Jacks or Better the 4 of a kind seems to come up a lot. Do we really need to see it announced each time? I'd like to see only the Royal Flush wins. There are way too many announcements.
I like that you can change the speed.
I would like to see more variety in machines.
I don't like the animated scrolls on the face cards. It can be distracting and a bit annoying at times. Just have it open and stay open.
I know this is still beta, but I hate how the screen gets all jumpy and flickers off an on sometimes. It also seems to use a lot of resources, which causes AOL to freeze. If I play for an extended length of time, I get dumped offline without getting to cash out.
After playing awhile the screen gets all jumpy and then freezes and then knocks you totally out of AOL.
HI POGO I LOVE THE VIDEO POKER GAME. I THINK THE CHAT COLUMES LETTERS COULD BE LARGER AND DARKER ITS HARD TO SEE,GIVE THE STARS A PURPOSE,
WILL WE EARN BADGES FOR THIS OR CAN IT BE MONEY FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF CREDITS IN WAllET. LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING SOON.

When the Scotts lawn care ad pops up, I can NEVER get rid of it to play any game. On word games, I can usually just exit and re-enter, hoping for a different ad. But when I exit video poker, I'm usually stuck with that stupid ad and can never get back in.
One comment on the game itself. I'm an avid video poker game player in real life and I find your graphics a little annoying. In my opinion, the cards shouldn't roll over like they do...just the original deal (which is fine) and after holding the cards, the second deal should pop right up, not roll over like it does. It actually makes me dizzy to watch it, but I play really fast.
